Birchbox # 2 || October

What if I told you, I was secretly beyond excited to get home from Utah because I had been tracking my Birchbox and was very well aware it would be arriving the day after I left. So, when I arrived home on Sunday with the lovely rats nest that I had acquired after the windy day at the Rampage venue I didn't even think about searching through the mail for my box (although, I wish I had because of one of the gifts in it...) - then Monday arrived, and there was nothing. I tracked it, and it said it arrived 'ohhhh don't you dare tell me someone stole my Birch!'...and by stole I mean my boyfriend left it in his car and being the busy bee that he is, he forgot to bring it inside. So, finally on Tuesday I had that pretty little box in my hands. Without any hesitation I ripped right in...

 There are a handful of items I immediately found the time to play around with, while others I have been a little tentative.

ChapStick - Hydration Lock $2.99 (free in this months box)
I am always happy to get chapstick and lip stuff. I was extremely happy about this because I had just arrived back from the desert and saying my lips were chapped would be an understatement. As for it lasting 8 hours? I don't know about that...the flavor/smell is nice and subtle. I managed to misplace this after about 2 days - I am sure it will float up in the between the couch cushions, the depths of my backpack or a drawer in the next few months - however, if I do see this at the drugstore there is a good chance I will end up with a few more. Horrible, horrible addiction.

Joie  Folle de Joie - eau de parfum $98
I have been looking for a new scent. So far I am pretty happy with this one, it is a nice subtle floral smell - that is also very sensual. Now, the only issue....price. I am not sold on the high dollar amount, although it is tempting. I think that I am going to keep this scent in mind for down the road, hopefully in a few boxes to come I will get to test out a few other smells.

Liz Earle - Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Starter Kit $24.50
 So, this was one of the items that I haven't had a chance to play around with. Like I said in a previous post, I get nervous with new products on my skin. I will keep you updated on how the product is once I find some time to figure out how this works....

Miss Jessie's Creme de la Creme Conditioner $16.00
So, this is the reason I wish I would have landed my box upon my arrival back from Utah. I didn't hesitate to use this immediately after opening the box. Surprisingly enough, this smelled more like chemicals than I expected - I was happier using my everyday conditioner instead. I will admit I am a sucker for labels/design and this one caught my attention as soon as I opened the box and I was very interested in finding out more about the product.

POP - Beauty Aqua Lacquer $14.00
Another product I haven't used yet, the Aqua Lacquer. I know earlier I said I love lip crap but this is a little too sparkly orange county out of my league (Side note I did not get the color shown above, I ended up with Splashing Scarlet). Looks like I will need to slip into my little black dress, heels and put my face on with my girls some night soon so that I can give this a test run.

Over all, I am super happy with the box. I am looking forward to getting my next Birchbox. I am still on the wait list for Ipsy...its been like 2.5 months...worth it? Not sure. I also started looking at other subscription boxes - any suggestions?

Sending Love!
