Big news in California over the last couple days is that Prop 8 has been overturned. Frankly, I think that this is a step in the right direction. Who is to say that people should not be allowed to wed? Love should be equal -- it doesn't matter if it is between opposite sex, or the same. Love is love. California has previously allowed gender neutral weddings. There is nothing worse than having something and then having that something taken away because of what other people think. Finding love is so special, and if two people happen to find in between the same sex....support them. I have quite a few friends that have found love in the same sex, and I support them 110%, because they support my decisions of a man-woman relationship. I feel like those I know that are in same sex relationships are so much for passionate, and true, no gender clashing. Personally, I see the biggest hiccup in the system right now being the idea of separating church and state...and that always has been a problem. So maybe the bible says that same sex doesn't work, but realistically we know it does. The appeals had to be turned in by today (Friday), but hopefully California will officially be joining the other states (Massachusetts, Iowa, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Washington D.C.).Of course, we all share a different opinion on this happening...but don't you think this is a great example of discrimination? We live in America...land of the free....
Best of luck to those of you waiting for the final say in California.
